Market Days in Rugby.

Rugby town centre in Warwickshire has an open market that operates three times a week. This traditional market has been trading since 1235 under the Royal Charter.

As part of a refurbishment programme for the historic market town Pop Up Power Supplies installed two retractable units in order to facilitate electricity to the many market stalls. A PUPS05 unit with 2 x 32A single-phase sockets with RCBOs on one side and 4x 16A single phase sockets on the other was specified along with a PUPS01 unit with 1x 32A three-phase socket with RCBO on one side and 2x 32A single-phase sockets, all with RCBOsm on the opposite side.

Each in-ground unit was installed beneath the ground and featured an easy to operate handle for raising and lowering when required. Each unit provides a safe and secure outdoor power supply. The recessed nature of the power unit allows it to fit seamlessly with the surrounding ground and blend perfectly with the beautiful historic features of Rugby the market town.

Since being installed and supplied the units have been successfully utilised for each market day, three times a week for many years and more to come. Pop Up Power can also supply electricity through Bollards and In Ground Units in a variety of designs to suit the surroundings.
